Two software companies — Big River of Cleveland and Amvonet of Alliance — each has received a $250,000 investment from JumpStart Inc.
Big River’s software is designed to help nonprofits communicate with their members and donors. Amvonet’s is used to conduct interactive distance learning courses.
Both companies plan to use the money to improve their products and to ramp up sales and marketing efforts.
JumpStart, a Cleveland nonprofit that assists and invests in young technology companies, announced the investments on Tuesday, Nov. 13, during the 2012 Northeast Ohio Entrepreneur Expo & JumpStart Community Meeting.
